The Advanced Technical Intelligence Center for Human Capital Development (ATIC) is an independent, not-for-profit corporation established in 2006 to help fill critical human capital and technological shortfalls within the U.S. Intelligence Community and related industries.
ATIC is a major outreach effort designed to secure Wright-Patterson AFB as the Nation's Center of Excellence for Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), including Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI). WPAFB's Center of Excellence will help meet the needs of the intelligence-related workforce by generating a substantial number of highly technical, high-value jobs for government, commercial, and academic partners in the Dayton Region.
The ATIC curriculum includes partnerships with:
- Clark State Community College with an Associates of Science in Advanced Technical Intelligence and a Certificate in Advanced Technical Intelligence
- Wright State University with a Certificate in Remote Sensing
- Sinclair Community College with an Associates in Advanced Technical Intelligence and a Certificate in Advanced Technical Intelligence
- Tiffin University offers a Bachelors of Criminal Justice (BCJ) Cyber-Defense and Information Security Major
- University of Dayton with a Cyber Security concentration within an MBA degree
Collaboration has been initiated with several other academic institutions.
The ATIC curriculum also includes short courses and a MASINT/GEOINT/AGI laboratory to support the integration and testing of sensor data standards. Future enhancements to ATIC may include a simulated MASINT/GEOINT data operations center with links to actual operational data streams from intelligence sensors.
